[Heuge -Vessels Connecting the Tradition of Mino Ware

The Mino region is known as the largest producer of pottery in Japan, with a history of more than 1,000 years, producing a wide variety of ceramics and porcelain according to the styles of the times.
Among the 15 types of traditional crafts, Setoguro, Kiseto, Shino, and Oribe are four types of pottery with well-balanced colors that have penetrated beyond the name of Mino ware. [Inheriting the tradition of Mino ware from the time when it was known and loved as "heugeimono," we have created dishes that can be used daily at the modern dining table as dishes to be handed down to the next generation.
The quality of Mino ware, which has supported the Japanese dining table for over 1,000 years, is expressed using old traditions and modern techniques, clay, and glazes. Please experience it through [He?ge=Heuge (Hyoge)].

The four traditional colors of Mino ware, Setoguro with its glossy black color, Shino with its melt-in-your-mouth natural white color, Oribe with its austere deep green flavor, and Kizeto with its warm yellow tinge, have been handed down for 1,000 years. They are the best colors to complement Japanese foodstuffs.

*Not for use in ovens.
*Not to be used over an open flame.

*Since each piece is made by hand, there may be slight variations in size, shape, etc.
*Since the glaze tends to drip and be uneven, no two pieces will have the same appearance. Please enjoy the scenery of the glaze on the vessel.
*Since coarse clay is used, there may be roughness or small holes on the surface or rim of the vessels.
*The surface of the glaze may have black spots or reddish tints on the base, which are caused by iron powder in the kiln or iron contained in the clay. This will not interfere with use.
*Some pieces may have small cracks (nuki) on the surface at the time of purchase, and some pieces may develop nuki as they are used, but this does not interfere with use.
*Nugen-jiri is caused by the difference in shrinkage rate between the clay and glaze when the pot cools down and shrinks for about one month after leaving the kiln. When a piece is pierced, a small, high-pitched "kin" sound is heard. Gradually the sound stops, but the penetration continues. Please enjoy the sound of the penetration when you start to use the pot.
*Before use, soak the pot in water and wash it lightly.
*After use, please clean it with a soft sponge and kitchen detergent and dry it well before storing it.
*Don't leave the product soaking for a long time or leaving food in it because of its high water absorbency, as it may cause stains* dirt* discoloration* mildew* odor, etc.
* When using a microwave oven or dishwasher, be careful of sudden temperature changes. Doing so may cause cracks, etc.
