This tradition is still alive today, and we have created a large size handkerchief based on a design of kimono painted in the Western style [Hyakkaryoran]. This large handkerchief, which can be worn as a handkerchief or around the neck as a scarf, is woven from a combination of differently sized threads to create a supple gauze handkerchief. |
