Description
Satoshi Kako, who passed away in 2018, left behind a manuscript of some 240 small stories, which he personally edited and categorized into different types of stories. These are [animal stories], [Japanese folktales], [stories from everyday life], and [stories from around the world]. He edited the stories that had not yet been published in books, or that had appeared in magazines or as picture storyboards, by altering and illustrating them until just before he passed away. Each volume is full of interesting stories for children from young children who have begun to read up to elementary school age. Volume 9 is [Story of the World [No.1]]. Kako-san looked around the world and collected many stories. By reading stories from those countries, we can also learn about them. You will encounter unknown things that are different from the life in the place where we live now. There is an old tale about a brave Inuit boy named Komachin, a story about a brave monkey in India, a scary and funny story about a cat in Denmark, a legend from the Andes, and an African story called "Chibikuro-chan to tomodachi" written in 1964, which seems to be the basis of Kako's picture book "Southern Chan's Friends". This book contains 33 stories, including an African story that is believed to be the basis of Kako's picture book [Southern Chan's Friend]. [Table of Contents] The Tale of Rose, the Trumpet Kingdom Dong Kaku Sensei The Money-Making God and the Bin-Bo God, etc. |
