| Craftsmanship and wisdom come together! MADE IN JAPAN [KAYARI] This is a stylish Kayari (incense burner) designed by Makoto Koizumi. Slim and easy to carry. It is lightweight and will not break even if dropped. Ashes do not fly away. It has a balance function that allows it to be hung from above. Mosquito repellent" has been a part of Japanese summer life for a long time. It started with the idea of Yuriko Takahashi, the president of eOcto*, "There is no mosquito coil for chrysanthemum coils that fits in with simple interior design and is easy to carry around...". This was the starting point of the project. [When we told Makoto Koizumi, a furniture designer, about our ideal mosquito coils, he expressed his deepest sympathy and we started joint development. The product is made by Shoei Kogyo, which has a factory in Sumida-ku, Tokyo (for manufacturing the aluminum body), and Omineeratan, a rattan craftsman (for the handle). The product was named "Kayari" instead of "mosquito repellent" because incense and aroma can be enjoyed throughout the year, and it is still a long-selling product of eOcto. The originality of the materials and techniques is alive and well, and just by having it, every day becomes a little richer. By proposing a new Japanism that fits the current era, rather than the old Japan, we will not let Japanese technology die out, but will connect it to the next generation. [Replacement mats] Koukan" is a device to enjoy chrysanthemum incense in summer, and incense and aroma from fall to spring. The nonflammable mats placed on the bottom of the unit can be used forever even after they turn black, but we have responded to customer requests for new mats! We have created a set of two mats in response to customers' requests for new mats. When switching from chrysanthemum incense to incense in the fall, it is also a good idea to make it pure white so that the fragrance will not be transferred. |

MADE IN JAPANの「香遣/かやり」
小泉誠デザインのおしゃれなかやり（香遣り）です。スリムで、持ち運びが簡単。軽くて、落としても割れない。灰も飛ばない。 上からつるすこともできるバランス機能。
ずっと昔から日本の夏の暮らしにあった「蚊遣り」。イーオクト代表・高橋百合子の「シンプルなインテリアに合って持ち運びが簡単な菊花線香用の蚊遣がない…」という思いからスタートしました。
「和室にも洋室にも合うデザイン」「持ち運びが簡単」「軽くて丈夫であること」など、理想とする「蚊遣」について家具デザイナーの小泉誠さんにお伝えしたところ、深く共感いただき共同開発がスタート。
つくり手は、東京都墨田区に工場を構える「昌栄工業」(アルミ本体の製造)、籐工芸の「おみねらたん」(取っ手部分)。
そして小泉さんの洗練されたデザイン、日本の技術力が結集し2015年に「香遣/かやり」が完成。1年を通してお香やアロマも楽しめることから「蚊遣」ではなく「香遣」と名付け、今なおイーオクトのロングセラー商品です。
素材や技にオリジナリティが生きていて、それがあるだけで毎日がちょっと豊かになる。昔ながらの日本ではなく、今の時代にあった、新しいジャパニズムを提案することで、日本の技術を絶やすことなく、次世代へ繋いでいきます。
