| \Newly launched on April 26, 2024 (Friday)/. *Fan [Wind and Thunder Gods*Summer and Autumn Flowers, double-sided folding screen], By Ogata Korin*Sakai Hoitsu (for both men and women)* By Ogata Korin*Sakai Hoitsu, Edo period, Tokyo National Museum [Summer and Autumn Plants" was painted by Sakai Hoitsu on the reverse side of "The Wind and Thunder Gods" by Ogata Korin for Hitotsubashi Jizai. Currently, the front and back sides have been remodeled into separate screens for conservation purposes, but this product was created to resemble the original forms of the two works. Korin Ogata Born as the second son of a wealthy drapery merchant [Gankinya] in Kyoto from 1658 to 1716. Founder of the Rimpa school. He first studied in the Kano school, but was inspired by Tawaraya Sotatsu and took over his style. His clear and decorative style is known as the "Korin pattern" and had a great influence on later generations. Her representative works are [National Treasure, Tsubame and Flowers] and [National Treasure, Red and White Plum Blossoms]. Hoitsu Sakai Born in Edo as the second son of the Sakai family of the Himeji domain (1761-1828). He was proficient in various arts including painting, haikai, and waka. He studied Kano painting, sketch painting, ukiyoe, Tosa school, Maruyama school, and many other styles, but he was deeply devoted to Ogata Korin, who became the founder of the Edo Rimpa school.
