| Glassware series upcycled from floating ball glass Glass floating balls, which have become almost obsolete over time, are sometimes piled up and left at fishing ports due to the closure of fishermen's businesses and the difficulty of disposing of them. As a glass factory that used to manufacture the floating balls, we recovered the balls and reproduced them as the "UKIDAMA EDITION" out of our desire not to waste the existing resources and to protect the beautiful scenery of Aomori. The deep blue-green color and air bubbles are the expression of materials unique to the floating balls that used to float on the sea. Please enjoy the atmospheric texture of this piece while thinking of the sea of Omori. |
