Fountain pen with a 14-karat gold nib for smooth writing.

Echizen lacquerware boasts a history of approximately 1,500 years. Echizen lacquerware is said to have begun when the 26th Emperor Tsugitai encouraged lacquerware production in Katayama-cho, Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture. The technique was applied to the shaft of the Yumegala by Echizen lacquer painters Norio Misaki and Ryuji Umeda. After black lacquer is applied, silver foil is applied, and then red-gloss lacquer is applied over the silver foil. You can enjoy the translucent amber color and the depth of the silver that gradually emerges, albeit discreetly.
