Description
| This is a glass pen with a stem made of Senbonzakura, a natural tree from Yoshinoyama, a World Heritage Site in Japan. Each pen is carefully crafted by hand by artisans. Please enjoy the smooth writing experience as the ink fits into the pen. Natural cherry trees from Yoshinoyama, which were felled by Typhoon No. 21 in 2018, were given to us and used for the wood glass pen barrel. The barrel, carved from the fallen tree, is a gem of nature's warmth, and the more you use it, the more it will fit in your hand. The transparent and beautifully shaped glass nib is made by glass artist Yoshitaka Tajima (Studio Kashitsu, Fukui Prefecture). The nib is made of hard glass. The wooden pen rest is also made of the same natural wood as the barrel, senbonzakura. It has a soft shape that allows the glass pen to be placed gently. Each pen rest is handmade of natural wood, and the color, shape, and texture of the wood surface may vary from piece to piece. 2018年の台風21号で倒木した吉野山の天然桜を譲り受け、ウッドガラスペンの軸に使用しています。倒木から削り出した軸は自然のぬくもりを感じられ、使うほどに手に馴染む逸品となっております。透明で美しいフォルムのガラスペン先は、ガラス作家・田嶋嘉隆氏(福井県・スタジオ嘉硝)にて作られています。硬質ガラス・ペン先です。木製のペンレストも、軸と同じ天然木の千本桜で作られています。ガラスペンを優しく置ける柔らかな形状になっています。手作り・天然木の、完全ハンドメイドにて、ひとつひとつ色や形、木肌の風合いなども異なります。
