This 70cm furoshiki is a collaboration between mashu and Tukiyomi design. Many people may have an image of arabesque patterns, the green and white color used by thieves to wrap stolen goods. In fact, the arabesque pattern is a very auspicious pattern. It is a symbol of longevity and prosperity of descendants because of the long and uninterrupted growth of plant vines in all directions. The arabesque pattern is a traditional pattern used not only in Japan but also in various countries as a symbol of "prosperity" in slightly different forms. At mashu, we have tried to dye arabesque patterns in a more festive and new way.

In a wooden Gassho-zukuri factory that has been in Kyoto for 110 years, craftsmen continue to dye each furoshiki carefully, one by one, using traditional techniques to hand-dye each item.
