Description
| 70cm size furoshiki. We have created a new cotton furoshiki with the popular chidori (plover) design, which is also available as a chirimen furoshiki. The staggered birds have been used as a symbol of congratulations since ancient times, such as when combined with a wave motif to wish for overcoming difficulties, or when two staggered birds are placed side by side to wish for conjugal bliss. By connecting such staggered birds without interruption, we dyed the entire pattern with the hope that the celebrations will continue for a long time. In a wooden Gassho-zukuri factory that has been in Kyoto for 110 years, craftsmen continue to dye each furoshiki carefully, one by one, using the traditional technique of hand-dyeing.
