刺繍グループのリーダーの一人、サムソニシャさん。
小さい頃から刺繍をしていて、この仕事がとても好きだそう。

仕事に対する彼女の姿勢には、sisamのスタッフもいつも襟をただされる気持ちになります。
彼女に「これからの夢」を尋ねたところ、話し始めたのは娘たちのこと。
「娘たちにはこの仕事をしてもらってもいいし、他にしたいことが見つかれば他の仕事でも良い。
大切なのは、教育を受けて、選択肢があるということ。
私たちの世代は小学校すら行っていなくて苦労しました。主婦になるしか選択肢がなかった。
今の子どもたちには、チャンスがあるんです。」
そんな話を聞きながら、うんうんとうなずく周りの女性たちも、皆同じ想いを持たれているのかもしれません。
