[Enjoy the reversibility.] The reversible design allows you to change the look depending on your mood. First, enjoy the feel of the fabric on the front side. The stitches around the brim will become more and more worn as you use it more and more. The back side is a smooth fabric that gives a clean impression. It will broaden the range of your coordination. When using the reverse side, please remove the sewn-on tag. The tag is simply sewn on top of the fabric sewing. As shown in the video, please remove only the sewing of the tag to avoid damaging the fabric. [Cotton cultivation that is close to nature and daily life] This is a shot of an organic cotton farmer that the designer visited last year. They were happily working together near the fields, so we asked them to join us there for a bit. This is the mother of the farmer's owner and the neighbors who were participating in the work. Cotton can be harvested roughly four months after planting, and here they harvest it once a year and grow rice during the rainy season. They also grow a variety of other crops such as potatoes, coconuts, guava, and curry leaves. Cotton is not grown on a large scale by large corporations, but by small family-based farmers who grow it according to their climate and lifestyle. The organic cotton clothes that we wear casually at sisam are also the breath of someone's life. I feel that I am becoming more and more attached to them. [Glossy cotton dobby] Cotton dobby fabric woven by sisam's original weaving with reference to vintage fabrics. The firm thickness adds a sense of weight to autumn and winter items. The casual luster of this special fabric gives it a luxurious feel, and when worn, it elevates the appearance of the wearer. [Corduroy with a sense of the season]. Corduroy fabric is thick and windproof, so it can be used until midwinter. Just by wearing it, you can easily create a sense of the season. ブリムにぐるりと施されたステッチは使い込む程にあたりが出て、こなれた雰囲気に育っていきます。
裏側はサラッとした生地感ですっきりとした印象に。
コーディネートの幅を広げてくれます。
裏面をご使用する際は、縫い付けてあるタグを外してご使用ください。
タグの縫製は、生地の縫製の上から簡易的に施されています。

「自然と暮らしに寄り添うコットン栽培」
こちらは、昨年デザイナーが訪れたオーガニックコットン農家の様子。
畑の近くでみんなで集まって楽しそうに作業をされていたので、そこに少し混ぜてもらいました。
農家のオーナーのお母さんと、作業に参加している近所の人たちです。
コットンは植えてからだいたい4カ月で収穫できるそうで、ここでは年に1回収穫して、雨季は米を育てています。
他にもお芋やココナッツ、グアバ、カレーリーフなど、さまざまな作物を育てているそうです。
大きな企業が大規模に栽培するコットンではなく、家族単位の小さな農家の人々が風土や暮らしに合わせて栽培をしているコットン。
普段なにげなく着ているsisamのオーガニックコットン服も、そんな誰かの暮らしの呼吸が宿っているのですね。 ますます愛着が深まるような気がします。

ヴィンテージ生地を参考にsisamオリジナルで織ったコットンドビー生地。
