| *Sarlangi's bow This is a single Sarangi bow, which is not available in Japan. It will surely be useful when you have brought a sarangi, but the bow is broken, or the bow is very difficult to use. It would also be interesting to use it as a bow for other stringed instruments such as violin. What is a *sarlangi? The sirangi is an instrument with a very large number of strings, with a main string made from three animal skins and more than 30 resonating strings. The sarangi is one of the major instruments in North India and has been used since the 13th century and is known today by such virtuosos as Ustad *Sultan *Khan. The sarangi is also often included in the back during tabla solo playing, often in a small, rhythmic way to signal the rhythm. This sarangi bow is made by PALOMA in Mumbai, India, known for its careful craftsmanship. |

日本ではまず入手不可能なサーランギの弓、単体です。サーランギを持ってきたけど弓が壊れちゃった、弓がどうも使いづらいなどという時にきっとお役に立つと思います。

■サーランギとは
サーランギーは3本の動物の皮から作られた主弦と、30本以上の共鳴弦を持つ非常に弦の数が多い楽器。サーランギーは北インドではメジャーな楽器の一つで、13世紀から使用されていたとされ、現在ではウスタッド・スルタン・カーン等の名手によって知られています。またサーランギーはタブラソロの演奏の時、よく後ろで小さく、リズムを知らせるために入っている事があります。
このサーランギーの弓は丁寧な作りで知られるインド、ムンバイのPALOMA製です。
