バヤンの打面を保護するためのパッドカバーです。バヤンの打面は楽器の命とも言える重要な部分で繊細なため、移動中や保管中のトラブルを避けるためにこのようなパッドを用います。特に打面中心部の黒い「シャヒ」は出音に大きく影響するため、湿度をキープするためにステージ上でもちょっとした合間にこのカバーを掛けて保護するミュージシャンもいます。
