■誕生の背景には「ダッバーワーラー」

お弁当の集荷は早すぎても、お弁当は冷えたり傷んだりしてしまうので、朝の丁度よい頃合いにお弁当の集荷が来て、旦那さんの働く職場へ持っていってくれます。食べ終わった空の容器も、家まで配達してくれるので、帰りも手ぶらで帰れます。
■鍵が掛けられると安心
そんな便利な配達システムなのですが、お弁当はリレー式で運ばれる為、不特定多数の人が配達に関わります。そんな時に、作った人と食べる人で同じ鍵を持っていれば、安心してお弁当を食べることができます。
盗み食い防止という側面の他にも、ひっくり返った時に蓋が開いてしまうのを防げるという利点もありますね。いたずらなどによる異物混入の防止という意味合いが、大きいのかもしれません。

■インドの不思議なお弁当箱
「カレーなどを入れても漏れない」といわれるインドの不思議な弁当箱。下段にご飯、上に汁気のあるカレーなどを入れて使用します。 ちなみに、汁物が漏れづらいのは一番上の段のみで、中・下段は漏れやすいので、汁物は必ず上段に入れてご使用ください。
ティラキタの実験では、水を入れてさかさまにすると最初は少し雫が垂れますが、その後漏れなくなりました。水蒸気がシールの代わりになるのだと思います。ただ、日本の製品のようにパッキンが入って気密性になっている訳ではありません。漏れる可能性があるので、あまり逆さまにして振ったりはしない方がいいかと思います。
