Description
*Kadi cotton called "The Fabric of Freedom Kadi cotton, also known as "The Fabric of Freedom," is a hand-spun and hand-woven fabric from India. It is one of the daily necessities loved by the people of India, and is said to be a symbol of freedom, filled with Mahatma Gandhi's ideas of independence, self-reliance, and freedom. Kadi cotton is unique for its uneven weave and uneven texture. The handmade fabric is made from the yarn and weaving process, so you can feel the warm texture that only handspun cotton can give. The cloth is carefully spun, one weave at a time, using a spinning wheel called a charka, and it takes a long time before it is finished, creating a warm and unique texture. *Transmission of Indian Handicraft Culture Compared to cotton from other regions, Indian cotton has thicker and stronger fibers. Rich in elasticity and durability, it has been widely used as a raw material for a variety of products. From ancient times to modern times, India was the world's largest producer of cotton fabrics, and exported cotton to the West through trade. However, the Industrial Revolution and British colonial rule in India, which began in the mid-18th century, changed this situation drastically, and the Indian cotton textile industry began to decline due to this rule. And it was [Mahatma*Gandhi] who took a stand against it. In order to preserve their handicraft culture, they hand-spun cotton and spread hand-woven cloth. It is said that his actions gave people jobs and contributed to India's independence. *Simple and easy to use The simple coloring is perfect for a rustic and natural atmosphere. The design is easy to use not only as a handkerchief, but also as a cloth cloth* or as a blindfold cloth to hide little places. |
