とってもかわいい生地がジャイプルからやってきました。イカットとは、絣(かすり)織のことです。縦糸と横糸をあらかじめ決まった模様に染色し、その順番に沿って織って行きます。あらかじめ、糸の長さを計算して染めて織っていく技法です。
柄が滲んだような独特な風合いがあり、人気なのですが、そんなイカット風のデザインを木版を用いて表現した、ウッドブックプリントの生地です。イカットとはまた風合いが異なり、とてもかわいい雰囲気に仕上がっています。
