Description
*Easy-to-use size Tarchot are flown on the roofs of houses, temples, mountain tops, mountain passes, bridges, and watersides as prayer flags to ward off evil spirits. For this reason, they are often made quite long and can be too long for inside a house. These tartchos are a convenient length for use in the home, making them perfect for small decorations. *Talchos with wind reading sutras In Tibet, Nepal, North Indian regions, etc., there is a five-color flag called a tartcho that stands out among the distinctive landscape. These flags have sutras written on them, and each time the flags are displayed and flutter in the wind, it means that a sutra has been recited. The order of the five colors is blue*white*red*green*yellow, each representing the five elements of heaven*wind*fire*water*earth. These flags, which to our eyes look colorful and beautifully decorated, must have a good reason, and they must represent the prayers of the Himalayan people, who live their entire lives in accordance with their religion. This talchow is made of nylon made in Nepal, with a horse pattern and a sutra printed on each piece. The one with this wind horse on it is especially called a lunta. There are 25 flags sewn onto a single cord, and depending on how they are secured, they may be used in a variety of places.
