「レヘンガ」とは、シャツ（チョリ）とスカートの2ピースタイプのドレスの上に、ストールをサリーのように巻いたもの。インドでは花嫁衣装としてこの「レヘンガ」を着用することが多くあります。花嫁衣装のレヘンガは細かい刺繍やスパンコール、ビーズがこれでもか！というほど使用されている豪華絢爛なドレスですが、こちらは木版染めのコットン布を使用したもの。素材が異なるだけで、雰囲気もかわり日常使いにも使えそうな1枚です。
