This is the second time South African wine has been featured in the volume since it was first published in 2019. While the last issue featured up-and-coming producers who are pursuing the essence of wine in South Africa and wrote about the new phase of South African wine [now], this issue focuses more on the varietals to better understand the wines themselves. This time, however, we focus on varietals to better understand the wines themselves. We focus on Chenin*Blanc, Cinsault, and Grenache, three varietals that are expected to give South African wines a distinctive character, and interview 10 producers who are well suited to discussing these varietals. We also introduce the [Old Vine] project and its initiatives, which have gained renewed attention in the search for adapted varieties.

After the pandemic, the number of restaurants offering high-level non-alcoholic pairings has increased dramatically. This issue of the magazine has featured non-alcoholic drinks twice, this time focusing on alternative drinks in addition to non-alcoholic wines. This time, we will focus on alternative drinks in addition to non-alcoholic wine. We will touch on the recent market situation, consumption trends, and the latest developments, as well as introduce products available for purchase from the perspective of home drinkers, and also report on the non-alcohol situation in Paris, which is one step ahead of the rest of the world.
