Description
Goatskin leather coin purse with animal pattern. Colorful coin purse with Ganesha. A standard box-shaped coin purse featuring the god Ganesha. Ganesha is the god of wealth. God of wisdom and learning. He is also the god of disaster prevention and good fortune. Like the Japanese beckoning cat, Ganesha is popular among merchants. Since all three are gods of wealth, you will want to carry this coin purse like a good luck charm. Goat leather work Shantiniketan Shantiniketan is a goat leather craft from the Bengal region of West India. Originally a traditional Japanese craft, goat leather work was brought back to India by Tagore, a Nobel Prize winner for literature, and was introduced to the country. The leather is tanned with tannin extracted from the bark*stems of plants, then delicately patterned with molds, and finally colored by hand. The tanning process is environmentally friendly and does not use mineral tanning agents such as chrome. |
