Description
*In the Kamakura period (1185-1333), a sword smith from Kyushu moved to Seki (Mino), a region blessed with good soil, water, and charcoal, and began making swords. Many famous swords were born, but the master swordsmith [Magoroku Seki] devised his own unique sword making techniques and produced the finest and most beautiful, highly artistic, and sharpest swords in the world. *As the Edo and Meiji periods passed, many of Seki's swordsmiths shifted their business to the manufacture of cutlery for home use. The belief that Seki swords were praised for their unbreakability, unbending, and sharpness has been passed on to modern blade makers. *The name of this product [Seki Magoroku] was made by the 27th generation Kanemoto, swordsmith Kanemoto Magoroku, who has passed down the sharpness of his skills to the present day while utilizing the skills of a master craftsman. |
