| A collection of works by Ms. Makabe Alice, an embroidery artist whose plant embroidery is popular. The book contains a total of 35 works, including 12 small items such as pouches and bags that were published in the popular essay "Plant Embroidery and Seasonal Stories," which was serialized for a year last year on our "Beautiful Handicrafts and Life Site *Makurira", and 23 new works such as wreaths and samplers. Starting in April and ending in March, the 12 months of seasonal changes, flowers, and landscapes are cut out and expressed in embroidery. Full-size designs of all the works and instructions for making them are introduced. The patterns can also be downloaded in the electronic version. The book provides a glimpse of how the artist himself obtains the subject matter of the seasons and how he gives form to it, and is filled with hints for the creation of original embroidery works. The book also includes tips on the process of designing the seasonal motifs introduced in the essays, choosing fabric materials and thread colors, and stitching techniques. |
