Create a house that is small enough to be easy to live in!

A family of three, a freelance couple and their daughter living in Tokyo, decided to build a house at a moment's notice. A family of three, a freelance couple and their daughter living in Tokyo, decided to build a house in a hurry. They wanted to live in the heart of the city because of their jobs and lifestyles, and of course, their budget was limited. The family chose a small house and a small life, while clearing various problems. The author, who is a tidying up expert, also considered the perspective of an organization and storage advisor and focused on how to create a house that is easy to live in and has a good flow for housework.

The inspiration for building a house came from fortune-telling (!). The house was built based on a fortune-telling (!). [The land we found according to the condition of "true south" was a lot of 15 tsubos. Even on a small lot, there are many different floor plans. What is important for our family? Building a house is a repetitive process of asking ourselves these questions. The author's house-building process proceeds as she reconciles her ideals with the reality of her life.

A tidy house may seem to have a lot of storage space, but the more storage space there is, the more things come into the house, making it more difficult to organize and store. In the end, it is best to reduce the amount of things and make it appropriate. In addition, we decided on a floor plan with a flow line that would allow us to finish our chores quickly. For example, the washroom and family closet are adjacent to each other, so folded clothes can be stored in just three steps, and the family closet is connected to the bedroom, so getting dressed in the morning is a breeze.

The process of creating a house that is easy to live in begins with finding land, selecting a house builder, thinking about the floor plan, choosing interior design, moving in, and budgeting. The process of creating a house that is easy to live in is summarized in an easy-to-read essay and columns of useful information. The essays are fun to read and easy to understand, and introduce the key points of home building from the owner's point of view.
