「津軽びいどろ」を生産する北洋硝子の始まりは1949年(昭和24年)、漁業用のうきだま製造からスタートし、1973年には国内トップの生産高となりました。その後、浮玉製造で培った「宙吹き」の技法を用い1977年(昭和52年)、「津軽びいどろ」が誕生します。日本の四季の色にこだわり、色を様々に組み合わせる事で、コンセプトである「四季を感じるハンドメイドガラス」を体現、楽しい食事のひと時や、くつろぎの時間に彩りを添えます。
