Tokonameyaki has a 1,000-year history dating back to the late Heian period and is one of the six oldest kilns in Japan. A wide range of products are made here, from daily necessities such as teapots and tableware to construction materials such as ceramic pipes, tiles, and sanitary ware. On June 11, 1976, the area was designated as a traditional crafts area based on the national "Law Concerning the Promotion of Traditional Craft Industries.

*This kyusu is handmade by the long-established kyusu potter, Tosen Kiln.
*The entire kyusu is made of ceramic. The ceramic tea strainer (ceramesh) can extract the flavor of tea.
*The capacity of this kyusu is enough for one or two people (100ml per person). (100ml per person).
*The outer surface of the tea strainer is cut by hand using white kneading. (The kneaded pattern and cut may differ from the picture. The material contains no harmful substances.
*Lids and bodies are mortised together to make a pair. Therefore, there are polishing marks on the lid and body.
