Description
This is an original table stand created using William Morris fabrics, which are popular in Japan. William Morris's nature-inspired designs continue to fascinate many people around the world. The Willow bough is one of the most popular designs among a wide range of people. The inside of the lampshade (cloth shade) is made of heat-resistant resin and wrapped at the top and bottom. (The fabric pattern of the shade cannot be specified for this product.) The base of the body is made of wood, and the supporting part is made of cast brass to give a sense of weight. The brass posts are not surface-treated to take full advantage of the material, and only a hairline finish is applied to the fabric. Due to the nature of the material, there may be some unevenness in the color, but please enjoy it as a change over time. This lamp is designed to be enjoyed both when the lamp is lit and when the lamp is turned off. Fabric No.PR7614/1 (Willow Bow) Willow bough was designed after Willow, a wallpaper designed in 1874, became very popular. Willow trees, which beautifully protect the banks of tributaries to the Thames, are Morris's most English trees. As his daughter May* Morris [was walking along the creek, her father would point out the details and variegated forms of the leaves. Shortly thereafter, wallpaper painted from his observations of willow trees adorned many a London living room, as if the relaxing places of the home were surrounded by green foliage."] The work is full of delicate, overlapping dynamism, as he stated. [William Morris, also known as the "father of modern design," has many deep-rooted fans in Japan as well as around the world, with numerous exhibitions held at art museums throughout the country. We offer original lighting with motifs of natural trees, plants, and flowers. These are original products only available here, using William Morris fabrics. |
