Description
WACCA JAPAN provided us with a valuable design and we have completed a new Sticker sheet. There are two colors, Yingge and Sumi. We hope you will enjoy them as materials for collage and deco. The sheet type stickers are convenient products that can be cut out freely and pasted directly on the surface. The stickers are thick enough to be used in collages and decorations. You can also feel the unevenness of letterpress printing on this sticker sheet. ... ... *EDO GARDENIG I picked up the design from the "Kyogo-zuri" of "Jyuki-zukushi" in [toyo-e]. [Toy picture] These are nishiki-e (color woodblock prints) produced for children from the late Edo period to the Meiji period (1868-1912). There was a wide variety of Ukiyoe, from illustrated books that introduced items of the same genre in a list, to those that could be cut and pasted to enjoy as paper crafts. Kyogo-zuri A copy of an ukiyo-e woodblock print. The artist's underpainting is pasted on a board and dug out, and the black line drawing that forms the base of the design is engraved. The engraved line drawing is printed as many times as the number of colors on the plate. This process is equivalent to film plate making in offset printing. This kyogo zuri is then pasted onto a board, and wooden planks are dug for each color, which are then printed over one another to produce a single sheet of Ukiyo-e. |
