Francois Cafe Located in an alleyway south of the Shijo Kobashi Bridge, Francois Cafe was established in 1934 in a renovated machiya (townhouse) where boatmen used to live. It has remained unchanged since its establishment, becoming an oasis of culture and freedom where everyone can discuss peace, the future, literature, and art while sipping coffee and immersing themselves in the world of classical music and paintings.
