| A tea caddy with the clean and neat grain of beech. Beech, written in the Chinese character for "wood" and "no wood", is a Japanese name for "beech". As you can see from the Chinese character, there is no strong characteristic in the grain of the wood. It has a mottled pattern and a white, clear grain. The strong white color makes it a perfect match for Scandinavian tableware. The outside has an oil finish to give you more of a wood texture, and the inside is uncoated, so it is slightly damp.
