I had saved up some money for my study abroad and had some time on my hands, so I decided to do a round-the-Japan car trip, which I had always wanted to do! That was the beginning of my light van lifestyle. Then, we both started YouTube at the same time to post our light van DIY methods. Traveling while making videos can be slow-paced, but we realized that we enjoy living in a way that blends in with the lifestyle of the locals outside of the tourist areas, and to our surprise, this year marks our fourth year of living in a car. Although there are many aspects of living in a spacious car that are better for living, because I have actually done it, I have learned many things about the advantages and enjoyment of staying in a car that are only possible with a light car. I hope to share this information with you through this book. |

元々、会社員を3年勤めた後、海外留学のために退職するも出発直前でコロナ禍に。留学のために資金を貯めて、時間もあったので、いつかしてみたかった日本一周の車旅をしよう!と始まったのが、軽バン生活のきっかけです。
それから、2人で軽バンDIYの方法を載せるためにYouTubeも同時に始めました。動画を作りながらの旅はスローペースになってしまいますが、観光地以外の地元の方の暮らしに馴染むような生活が楽しいことに気づき、なんと今年で車生活4年目になります。
生活するには広い方が良い部分も多いですが、実際にしてみたからこそ、軽自動車ならではの車中泊の良さや楽しみ方も色々知ることができました。それを本書を通じて発信していけたらと思っています。
