In the Edo period (1603-1867), Japan became a peaceful society, a rarity in the world, and civilian culture flourished in all its glory. The series, named Fuga (風雅) based on such Japanese history, has an elegant, understated, yet refined appearance that evokes a grand feast. The items include tokuri (sake cups) and gugumi-nomi (sake cups) for enjoying sake, an essential ingredient for Japanese cuisine, and small plates for enjoying seasonal dishes.
