The towels are delicately woven with finer yarns than usual, so they are light and not too heavy even when moistened. *What is Nasen towel? This is a special technique called nasen (textile printing) in which the weft yarns are partially dyed. The towels have a unique soft taste and a hazy texture. When wet, the dyed area stands out, so it is often used as a bath towel in Japanese inns.
