| Thora SOLA Swiss Arge is a prestigious Swiss cutlery manufacturer established in 1866 and has been in business for five generations. Since its establishment, Solar has expanded its scale and is now one of the world's largest cutlery manufacturers, producing more than 28 million pieces per year, including products sold under the Solar brand and those supplied to major European and U.S. brands on an OEM basis. On the other hand, predicting that production in Europe would become difficult in the future, the company quickly established its own factories in Indonesia and China and transferred all production to them. The company has developed and lined up a product line with rich variations, making full use of traditional Swiss handcraft know-how and diverse techniques. Materials are produced mainly from high-quality 18-10 stainless steel. Solar's mass-market patterns use 22 chrome stainless steel, which is less thick and less expensive. Although not as thick, they are designed not to bend easily. Also used in hotels, restaurants, and other commercial applications. |
