The stripe pattern is woven over time by changing the thickness of the warp and weft yarns. A simple-is-best one-piece that allows you to fully enjoy such hand-woven fabrics! [Attention to detail]. The stand collar gives a clean and neat look around the neck. The accent button is a bone button that shows the craftsmanship of Nepal. This is a local ingenuity to use edible buffalo bones with care until the very end. A stylish point of this dress is that the direction of the yoke fabric has been changed. The striped pattern is now used to its fullest instead of giving the impression of being flat. The slit at the hem allows you to enjoy layering bottoms underneath. [Hand-woven fabrics even in summer]. Mahaguchi, a fair trade NGO in Nepal, has produced a variety of woven fabrics by changing the thickness of the yarn. The hand-woven fabrics have a unique, pocky texture and feel that softens and conforms to your body as you wear them. [Although there are hand-woven fabrics for winter, I wish there were products made of hand-woven fabrics for summer as well.] I was wondering if it could be incorporated into spring and summer clothing, when I found a sample of a rug with an uneven texture at a local market. It takes more work than the usual fabric, but the pocky texture is created by using a thicker weft yarn than the base warp yarn. This time, I made it into a stripe pattern. It is more uneven than plain weave fabrics and feels taut against the skin. Please fully enjoy the fabric woven by the hand of each individual weaver. 食用になった水牛の骨を最後まで大切に使うための、現地の工夫です。
ヨークの生地の向きを変えたのがこのワンピースのおしゃれなポイントです。
のっぺりした印象にならず、ストライプ柄を活かしたデザインになりました。
裾にスリットが入っているので、下にボトムスの重ね着を楽しめます。
「夏にも手織り生地を」
今までも糸の太さを変えながら、様々な織り生地を作り上げてきたネパールのフェアトレードNGO『マハグチ』。
手織りならではのポコポコした風合い、着るごとに体に柔らかく馴染んでいく感覚。
『冬の手織り生地はあるものの、夏にも手織り生地の商品があればなぁ。』
春夏の服にも取り入れられないかと思っていたところ、現地で凸凹感のあるラグのサンプルを見つけました。
いつもの生地よりも手間がかかるけれど、ベースの経糸よりも太い緯糸を使うことで出来るポコポコ感。
今回はそれをストライプ柄に仕立てあげました。
平織の生地よりも凸凹があり、肌にあたる感覚も張り感があります。
一本一本人の手が加わって織り上げられた生地を存分にお楽しみください。

中番手の経糸緯糸に、配色の太めの緯糸を織り込んだオリジナルの手織り生地。
柄の度に緯糸を変える必要のある職人技の光る生地です。
柔らかなメリハリあるホワイトブラック
