The author, who has lived in New York for more than 30 years after coming to the U.S. on her own to enjoy the free atmosphere, will share with you the charm of this city and the reality of life here. She is a New Yorker who enjoys her life as a New Yorker, valuing her own individuality, and being encouraged by the little things in her daily life, even as she interacts with many people and survives in her busy life. We will introduce various aspects of how to love the city and create a good mood in one's life.

We are energized by improvised performances on the subway, do yoga in the middle of Times Square, and scarf down pizza as we walk. They don't bask in the afterglow at the end roll of a movie, but even in their 70s*80s, they spare no time for the things they love to do, not to mention their love life. They respect the faith of others and volunteer with everyone, young and old. They are quick to help even strangers in need. In PART 1*3, we will introduce the charms of living in New York, which incorporates such different sensibilities and customs from Japan.

In PART2, basic information on New York's history, climate, transportation, and characteristics of the five boroughs (Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Manhattan) is included, as well as a calendar of events in the United States and New York City during the year and a guide to living in New York. Streets associated with famous people such as Miles Davis and Nikola Tesla are also introduced.
