Description
Chopsticks made of natural wood decorated with lacquer and gold maki-e. The soft luster unique to urushi lacquer and the beautiful gold maki-e patterns will add color to your dining table every day. Maki-e, which is said to have originated in the Nara period (710-794), is a unique Japanese lacquer craft in which patterns are drawn in lacquer and then sprinkled with gold or silver powder. The tips of the chopsticks are beveled to prevent the corners from slipping on the food. They are ideal for eating noodles such as udon and ramen. Ideal for everyday use or as a small gift. |
