The motifs of animals such as elephants, owls, birds, the sun (surya) and the moon (chandra) are matched with the bells, which ring with a lovely tinkling sound when you shake them. The hanging is all handmade, one by one, so you can feel the rustic warmth and gentleness of this product. 銅仕上げのベル付きのハンギングがインドからやって来ました。
象やフクロウ、鳥などの動物たちや、太陽(スーリャ)や月(チャンドラ)などのモチーフと、揺らすとチリンチリンかわいい音色で鳴るベルとのマッチングがとっても素敵です。
ハンギングは、全て手作りで一つ一つ丁寧に作られていますので、素朴な温かさや優しさが感じられる1品です。無骨な風合いが魅力的です。

ベルの振り子を囲むパーツ、そして上部の蓋になる部分。その他すべてのパーツを主にハンマーを使って叩き、組み合わせることで作られています。
これだけ手間をかけているからこそ、この独特の風合いと優しい音色になります。
■伝統的な塗装方法
独特なアンティーク感ある金色は、一般的な塗装ではありません。美しい見た目だけではなく、長持ちさせるためにも銅メッキは必要なのですが、古来から続く原始的なメッキが施されています。
まず、形が出来上がったベルなどに泥汁をつけて、その泥汁に絡ませるようにして銅粉など金属の粉をベルに付着させます。その後、さらに泥で覆い窯で熱することで、金色にコーティングされます。
