Description
*As an instrument This is a set of [Vajra] and [Vajra Bell (Gantar)], which are representative Tibetan esoteric Buddhist tools. When held in the hand and shaken, the powerful sound of the bell echoes, and when the attached stick is used to rub the edge of the bell, it produces a soothing high tone. These high notes contain the same overtones as the singing bowls, so they can be used not only as a musical instrument, but also for meditation and healing. *Also used in Tibetan Buddhist rituals. During rituals, the vajra is held in the right hand and the vajra bell in the left. The vajra symbolizes the masculine principle of [the power to save others] *the vajra bell symbolizes the feminine principle of [wisdom (truth)], and to hold both of them is thought to signify their union. The mystical design makes it a valuable piece of art. |
