インド楽器の代表的存在シタール。シタールは全長1.2Mほどの長い楽器で、弦は上下に二層に分けて張られています。弦の種類はスチール弦で、何音階にも渡るミード(弦を引っ張って音程を上げる事)をするために一番メインの弦の下にはなにも弦は張られていません。シタールの1番下部の大きな膨らんでいる所はトゥンバと呼ばれ、南瓜もしくは瓢箪で作られています。このモデルは取り回しに優れたシングルトゥンバ、ヴィラヤットカーンスタイルモデル。移動の多い方や、アクティブなプレイスタイル向きです。
