[Ojiya-Chichimi-shuku, an important intangible cultural property of Japan, is made from ramie, a high-quality hemp, which is finely crushed and joined together to make one long thread. These threads are then woven with the skill of a craftsman, and the fabric is carefully produced by hot-water spinning. The crisp and cool feeling of 100% hemp and the wrinkling caused by the hot water treatment make it a cool and airy fabric that does not stick to the skin.
