| SPAL - PORCELANAS PORTUGAL SPAL was founded in 1965 in Alcobaca, a small town located about 1.5 hours north of Lisbon by bus and famous for its blue pottery. With 260 employees and an annual production of 18 million pieces, it is said to be the largest ceramics manufacturer in Portugal, and it carries out integrated production in-house, from fabric to transfer processing. The company's designs range from standard shapes and patterns to innovative, modern, and warm casual designs, and are popular in about 45 countries in Europe, North America, and other regions. *HISTORY SPAL has placed emphasis on design innovation and quality as part of its corporate culture since its establishment, and has challenged itself to enhance its own brand value.
