Kingman Turquoise is mined along with copper in a large mine northwest of Kingman, Arizona. It has been mined for a very long time and is still being mined today.

Kingman was closed in the 1970s, but was reopened in September 2004. The new owner, Martin *Colver, is discarding all the turquoise for copper mining. So all the Kingman that is now out there is being mined from the Turquoise Mountain mine, to my surprise.
