Shinzangama Yamatsu Frustum mini earthenware jar, white glaze (brass vine)

Frustum is a tea set that has been redesigned for modern life in order to reaffirm the goodness of tea.
The edge that switches at the midpoint of the earthenware body, which is the heart of the product's design, is a reference to the shape traditionally seen on iron kettles made in the Tohoku region, reinforcing the impression of tea.

To create a modern impression while respecting the old Japanese form, this teaware was experimented* and re-examined from the shape of the spout.
The way of tea is gradually beginning to change its form to fit modern life.
This is Yamatsu's new proposal for tea utensils in the midst of these changes.
This is a new proposal from Yamatsu.

Frustum, winner of the Red Dot Design Award 2020 winter
The Frustum, which won the Red Dot Design Award 2020 Winter, is now available in a miniature size that can hold two cups of sencha tea.

The product is delivered in an original box that is perfect for gift-giving.

[information].
The earthenware jar comes with a tea strainer. The black and white glazes have a smooth surface, while the unglazed glaze* has a slightly rough surface.
Please choose according to your lifestyle.
If you feel that the vines are loose when you insert them, please remove them, open them slightly by hand, and insert them again.

Metal handle: made in TSUBAME

*Made in Tsubame-Sanjo, the birthplace of metal manufacturing.
*Clean gently with a dry cloth.

[How to attach the metal handle]
The handle is slightly narrow at first. Hold both ends with both hands and spread them slightly before inserting.
Insert the handle from either the front or the back for smooth installation. Please be careful not to spread the handle too wide, as it may break.
The metal handle will have a black "metal mark" when rubbed against the porcelain, but this is not a problem in use.
If you are concerned about stains, remove the metal handle and pack it with kitchen paper soaked in acid detergent to soak.

Cautions for use
*There may be places where the back mark is partially difficult to see due to the state of baking. Please understand it as a characteristic of pottery.
*Small differences in size, shape, texture, and expression may occur in each product due to the characteristics of the clay and glaze used as raw materials. Please enjoy them as the beauty of individuality peculiar to porcelain products.
*This product may have small iron powders, pinholes, cracks, or pierced patterns due to the manufacturing process, and the finish of the product may be slightly uneven.

Recommended Use: Pots, teapots, gifts, presents
