Description
| The inside and outside of the bowl are made of zelkova, a natural series with realistic reproduction of the wood grain. The pattern of the circle is reminiscent of a bean. The paint colors inspired by the design are named kinako (soybean flour), azuki (red bean paste), and kuromame (black soybean). The open-mouth shape of the kyo-shaped cups makes them easy to stack and store, and they take up little space. The bowls can be used in a microwave oven, so they are easy to use in daily life and go well with other bowls*. The series name is derived from "Madoka," which means "calm and amicable," and "Matoka," which is an even older root of the word "yen," meaning "calm. Also available in a bowl size. |
