Description
| Contents What makes a productive team different? What is shared by teams that accept failure and overcome difficult situations-- [Compassion makes innovation possible] - This seemingly strange combination may have surprised many people. [Compassion is not necessary for innovation. What matters is strength. Certainly, successful innovation requires fortitude in the face of challenges. Nevertheless, where does that strength come from? Compassion is the source of strength. In this book, we explained how the three components of Compassion (Self*Kindness, Common*Humanity, and Mindfulness) support the innovation process. Interestingly, Compassion can be enhanced by practice. In this book, we introduced the [two chairs] method of dialogue and how to imagine a kind friend calling out to you. What I want to emphasize here is that I encourage you to try these methods to enhance your Compassion. Don't just read the book and gain knowledge; put it into action. Compassion alone will not make innovation happen, but I believe that adding this human element to the traditional idea of innovation will make it easier to move forward. When you come up with an idea, when you hit a wall trying to realize it, when you encounter adversity or difficulty. I would be happy if you remember this book and find it an inspiration to take the next step forward by being considerate of yourself and others around you. (From "Conclusion" of this book) Table of Contents Chapter 1: The Difficulty of Creating Innovation Chapter 2: Self*Compassion Works for Innovation Chapter 3: How Compassion is Effective for Innovation Chapter 4: Specific Ways to Increase Compassion |
