[Neem wood is loved by local people.] Neemwood is planted as a roadside tree in India and is very familiar to Indian people. It has been used in Ayurveda since ancient times, and the leaves in particular have strong medicinal properties and are said to be effective against diabetes, skin diseases, and alveolar abscesses. It is a tree that has taken root in the lives of Indian people, who use its twigs as toothbrushes and put its leaves directly into their mouths on the roadside. Not all cutlery is made from neem, though, as there are many different trees in India, Neem is used in everyday cooking, for example, when making chapattis, for the large bowl used to knead the flour, the round stand used to roll out the chapattis, and the stretching stick. Neem is also used to make plates for offerings to the gods, as it is a sacred tree that is prized by the people for its medicinal properties. [Fair Trade][Ethical Collection] |

*Microwave ovens and dishwashers/dryers are not allowed.
Due to the handmade nature of this product, the texture and color may differ from the image. [For long use] *If you soak it in water for a long time or let it dry under direct sunlight for a long time, it may cause cracking and warping due to wood shrinkage. We recommend drying in the shade and in a well-ventilated place. *When washed with detergent, soaked in hot water, or soaked in water for a long time, the color of the wood may bleed off and adhere to cloth. This is the original color of the wood and not artificial paint. It is not harmful to the human body. *Please refrain from using a dishwasher/dryer, as the hot water will startle the wood, causing it to become white and rough, lose its luster, and become damaged more quickly. *Please refrain from using microwave ovens as well, as rapid heating and drying can cause cracking. *The surface of cutlery made of natural materials will become crumbly with continued use. However, the texture and color can be restored by taking care of the cutlery. [How to maintain] Before use, soak the product in water and wipe it with a dry cloth. It can be washed with dishwashing detergent. After washing, wipe it dry immediately and dry it thoroughly before storing it out of direct sunlight. Once every six months or so, apply a thin coat of olive oil or other cooking oil to the surface to restore its luster. (This product is finished with mustard oil.) When stained or cracked, apply sandpaper and oil. |
