Based on the simple design that was loved in the past, we have made it in a delightful 2-way specification. [Change it up with the use of buttons] A beautiful knitting pattern with plenty of room and wooden buttons. The very simple construction makes it a product that anyone can enjoy. And actually, it is a 2-way design. By fastening the buttons to create a loop and threading the ends through it, you can easily create the beautiful shape of a scarf. It also fits around the neck, so it provides excellent protection from the cold. And here is another way to wrap it. Simply drape it softly and fasten the buttons on the back side at your desired position. A simple way to enjoy this item that can also be matched with a beautiful style. You can even slip it inside a coat. Buttons can be threaded through any of the knitting holes lined up on the sides, allowing for fine adjustment. [Actually, it can also be used as a belly wrap.] One of the most exciting points during the cold season is that it can actually be used as a belly wrap as well. It is indispensable for warming up, isn't it? When you go home, you can change from a scarf to a belly wrap. It is a reassuring presence that keeps your body warm all day long. かつて愛されていたシンプルデザインをベースに、嬉しい2way仕様でお作りしました。
「ボタンの使い方で変える」
たっぷりと入った美しい編み模様と、木ボタン。
とてもシンプルな作りだからこそ、どなたでも楽しめる一品です。
そして実は2way仕様なんです。
ボタンを留めてループを作り、そこに端を通せば、簡単にマフラーのきれいな形が出来上がります。
首元にもフィットするので防寒力も抜群です。
そしてもう一つの巻き方がこちら。
ふわりと掛けて、裏側でボタンをお好きな位置で留めるだけ。
きれいめなスタイルにも合わせられるシンプルな楽しみ方。
コートの中にすっぽり入れてしまうこともできます。
ボタンは、サイドに並ぶどこの編み穴にも通せるので、微調整も可能です。

sisamのニットアイテムは全て、ネパールのフェアトレードパートナー「Sana Hastakala」で働く女性たちが編んでくれたもの。
編み手さんは家事や育児の合間にせっせと注文品を編み、作った分の賃金を手にすることができます。
例えば、ミトン1ペアを編むと、お米2,5kgを購入できる収入になるそうです。
多い？ 少ない？
この数字から感じることは、人それぞれだと思います。
ただ、フェアトレードの現場のなかで、収入というものは単なる数字ではありません。
ある作り手はそれを「誇り」と呼んでいました。
またある作り手は、「子どもの未来」を作るものだと話します。
ネパール社会の中でも、女性が自分自身の力で収入を得ることができ、家族にご飯を食べさせることができる。
その事の持つ力は、私には計り知れないものです。
フェアトレードのアイテムを購入することは、自分の日々を楽しくするだけでなく、自分が選んだものが巡り巡って、誰かのかけがえのない生活に繋がっていることを実感させてくれます。
