Description
This necklace is inspired by the traditional Turkish handicraft [oya] and is hand-knitted. This piece is a crocheted [tu*oja]. It is also called [bonjuk*oja] because of the beads used. The impression changes depending on how you wrap it, so you can enjoy it according to your outfit of the day. [Tu*Oya is a traditional handicraft unique to the Mediterranean region of Turkey, and has developed as a decoration for the scarf that women wear on their heads. The motifs used to decorate the scarf vary from two-dimensional flowers and vegetables to three-dimensional models, which women have made with their own original ideas and ingenuity. In recent years, the culture of handicrafts, not only scarf decorations, has been attracting attention, and new works using oyas as motifs are being created. (In addition to tu*oja, which are knitted with a crochet hook, there are also eeneoja with embroidery needles and bonjuk*oja with beads, each of which is distinguished from the other.) ⇒ Oya accessories ⇒⇒Accessory List |
