| This coffee cup has an impressive silhouette with a rounded shape and legs. The small diameter of the mouth is designed to prevent the temperature of coffee from dropping, and the thickness of the mouthpiece creates a gentle feel in the mouth and atmosphere. The capacity is approximately 170ml. It is just the right size for busy mornings and relaxing evenings, adding a little something special to your daily life. Otome-iro is a pale red color with yellowish tints, like the flower of the maiden camellia. The camellia camellia, from which this name comes, is a camellia with double-petaled flowers that blooms in early spring. The language of flowers is "modest beauty" and "modest love." As its gentle image suggests, the color is soft and the natural gradation gives each one a different expression. Each piece is carefully produced one by one by craftsmen of Mugiyama Pottery, established in 1922 in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, the birthplace of Seto-yaki pottery. Hundreds of shapes and glazes were tried and tested to create a special piece unique to SETOKARA. In order to make the vessels even more durable, the clay is carefully selected and fired at a high temperature of 1320°C (1320°F). By raising the temperature to this level, impurities in the clay are thoroughly burned away to increase the strength. High-temperature firing tends to be avoided by many kilns due to cost and technical difficulties, but Mugiyama Kiln spares no effort in pursuit of durability and beauty. 口径が小さく設計されており、コーヒーの温度が下がりにくく、飲み口の厚みがやさしい口当たりと雰囲気を演出します。容量は約170ml。
忙しい朝やくつろぎの夜にちょうど良いサイズで、日々の中に小さな特別を添えます。
乙女色（おとめいろ）は、乙女椿の花のような、黄みを含んだ淡い赤色です。由来となる乙女椿は、早春に八重咲きの花を咲かせる椿で、花言葉は「控えめな美」「控えめな愛」。
そのやさしいイメージの通り、色彩も柔らかく、自然なグラデーションが一つ一つ異なる表情を見せてくれます。
瀬戸焼の産地・愛知県瀬戸市にて、大正11年創業の「麦山窯」の職人が一つひとつ丁寧に制作。
形や釉薬を何百通りも試し、【SETOKARA】にしかない特別な一品が完成しました。
より丈夫な器に仕上げるため、選び抜いた土を使用し、1320℃の高温で焼成。この温度まで上げることで、土中の不純物をしっかり燃焼させ、強度を高めています。高温焼成はコストや技術的な難しさから多くの窯元では避けられがちですが、麦山窯は手間を惜しまず、耐久性と美しさを追求しています。
